i like it

that first motif should change much sooner, it gets really repetitive pretty quickly

but seriously...other than that its awesome

i love that you use stutter effects in your music, totally my type of music

i wouldnt call it jazz though

hmm....i would say DONT return to that first motif at the end, id say build on what you had, i think it would work much better

mjattie responds:

Thanks! You know, that's a pretty good Idea: building on what I had. Thanks again :D

oh wtf is this shit

i gave a 5 and it says scores went down, fuck you ng

this sounds SOOOO freaking nice dude, it have a tonal center, well..closer to one than your recent stuff

would be awesome for an intro to an album, b4 the drums come in, like if it ended there and a heavy ass guitar riff came in...dear lord it could be cool

drums are kind of boring, not much going on, sadly

i feel like im hearing glitchy vocals throughout, you record yourself

dammit now its kind of leaving its tonality, sad face lol

overall i liked it, pretty cool use of effects, drums were just a bit boring, but you know what im into xD

peace brah

InvisibleObserver responds:

Oh Sessile, you move me so.

add some

add some reverb to that pad, its way too dry right now

dude i love the chorused shaker loop, sounds..i am inspired...

poopr1221 responds:

Okie dokie then. Spice up the pad, keep delayed shaker. Got it. Thanks!

dude

that effect at :36, how did you pull that off? its like a screeching doom glitch, venetian snares did it in one of his songs as well

great glitches, idk which you did and which nubbin did, but its all awesome

poopr1221 responds:

At :36 that was nubbin =P. I think he said he took the word "Fries" which is the distorted word, and put it in ableton, and warped it SUPER long, and then distorted the fuck out of it. For the parts that are me, 90% of the intro up until :14, then it's both of us, then Nubbin up until :46. Everything from :46 on is just me.

nice

i like the piano, i dont like the dissonance it has though, but hey im a tonal kind of guy

does start to sound nicer a bit later

do you have any tonal centered peices?

InvisibleObserver responds:

Several, but as of late I've really been hamming up with the concrete/avantgarde/atonal music. I find it rather fun to disregard a vast majority of music conventions.

Lackadaisical Cohort, Plaster You, Tryptich Train are some of my more more pleasantly tonal songs. Frigid above all others, but even then it wanders.

3/6 time...

3/6 time...wouldnt that be roughly the same as cut time, idk i dont know much about music in that sense

very calm, leans more towards a tonal center than most of your tracks

still has that crazyness though

pretty good, nice pads and whatnot, only compaint is maybe how slow it is

dear god the dissonance is crazy towards the end

InvisibleObserver responds:

3.6 is 3 beats to a bar, each beat seperated into 6ths (as far as FL's step sequencer is concerned anyways).

Its a really easy time sig to write triplets in with more standard rhythms and have them layer ncely. Also makes it hard to avoid a semi jazzy/funkish kind of sound. Its a light tone that gets added almost nomatter what you do.

yo---my summary is too short

why the name change?

good drums, are those easy drummer?

i feel like ive heard that synth from somewhere...is that a nexus preset...possibly in the single layer leads section?

starts off nice, simple but gets the job done

its all sounding nice, now im at the break

i like the ghost snares, sounds very real, this whole section is quite calming, i like it

eh its starting to drag out a bit imo i think at 1:17, more progressives should start coming in to give it that building feel, it feels like it rose out of maybe 4 beats, its a bit sudden

and it ends up quite nicely, good solid tonic chord

good job man, not much to say but yea

i have a new track that i dont think you've checked out yet, its probably my best one, give it a look

peace out MH-i mean- Mussirus

SessileNomad

p.s. LOL when i voted 5 it said the scord went down by like .000040, NG is retarded

FairSquare responds:

Why i changed my name? Well, i just didn't like MH16 anymore. It had a number in it and just looked random.
The drums are Addictive Drums, however, i hope i'll get EZ drummer on my birthday. You get it for free when you buy a MIDI keyboard :p
And yeah, i should put more of a building feel to the section at 1:17, although that is actually one of my favorite parts of my song :p
I'll check your song out too. It could take a while before i actually leave a review, but i WILL do that, eventually ;p
And yeah, the score system is weird indeed.
Thank you for the review!
Oh, and by the way, yes, that is a nexus preset.

crazy

not many tracks can leave me baffled, but the effects in this one are just like....whoa crazy

dude you should def. try your effect talents with some more melodic elements, i can only take so much dissonance b4 i cant really hear differences in sounds anymore

breaking glass was cool dude, that was pretty new

is that a bear?

5/5

InvisibleObserver responds:

Some noises in the organic department are recordings of a vulture, a frog from warcraft, and me making a noise that got edited into a weird growl/gurgle.

Drums sounds and whatnot are a lot of heavily stretched and pitch shifted drums (orchestral and general rockbandish).

One of the kicks is a foot step, the gun clicking sound is ... I don't remember but not a gun sample.

Etc, lot going on. :P You are absolutely write with the melodic comment though. I'm probably going to be writing some more listener friendly music in the foreseeable future.

nice

i like the ambient elements, i just wish the dance elements were stronger, especially the kicks

wicked pads and stuft though

awesome bells later on in the track too

5/5

InvisibleObserver responds:

Upon my edit that drums will be a bit more clear which should help emphasize the dance elements that are present.

Overall it will be smoothed up a fair bit.

interesting

very interesting atonality

dude that is pretty awesome with the didgeridoo

good glitches and whatnot, but i expect that from you xD

InvisibleObserver responds:

Yea brah brother dude man guy, totally.
