yeah too simple

ide say eiher write a second melody, or keep that one and make it more complex

i think melodoes like this are good for like starting points to bitchin melodies, but ive only heard like 2 hardstyle tracks by well known people that were this simple

im not feelin the distorted kicks man, i mean jumpstyle is cool and all, but i think its just a personal thing that i like clean powerful kicks over jump kicks

also i think you played with the fades way to long, the kicks should come in sooner, just me though

p-trance definatly suites you better, but depending on where you go with this, it could end up being real nice

peace out

i like it

how long did it take to make and what instruments did you use?

i luv 8-bit loops

Father-of-Death responds:

It didn't take to long to make. I used a common chord progression and the melody was easy, it's not really a melody i guess.

amazing

great idea

has some wierd shit goin on the master but w/e

10 for the concept
10 for good track

peace

you are a god

not even jokin, you could totally be a composer for like movies and stuff

ive said this all like 2 times b4 but ill say it again

great piano

epic strings, which vst is that i think im gona give them a try, and which drums are those, the warbeat sounding things...

amazing piano break man amazing

omg the string build is incredible!!!!!!

i tip my hat to you for you are an amazing composer, if only i could be as good, with classical at least

the ending was great, might have been rushed but i kind like endings to songs that are kinda abrupt

blackattackbitch responds:

Holy crap, you don't know how badly you threw me off with the god comment lol.

Most of my stuff came from the site sf2midi.com. Some of the soundfonts on that site are amazing, and the best thing about it is that they're free. Also, there's the papelmedia soundfonts, which are simply amazing too, and there's the DSK samples, which are pretty good considering that they're free.

Also, I abuse the hell out of demo programs, specifically the demo to Miroslav Philharmonic, where my brass staccato and string staccato samples mainly came from.

The drums are all courtesy of the site I mentioned above. Paradoxphenomena and MH16 jumped on me because of my drum samples, so I got an upgrade lol.

I'm really glad that you think I'm a good composer man, you don't know how much that means to me XD

Peace man, hope to be reviewing one of your pieces soon!

the beeps man

there way to screechy, like theres this bad feedback-ish noise comin of them

nice drums, sorta, idk i like my dnb drums for be sort of a continueous thing

where did you get those drums from?

nice breakdown at 1:57

that synth that kicks in after that is too loud, it drowns out the drums hardcore

i got like 3 dnb songs, would you mind checkin them out for me?

Lucovic responds:

ok thanks a lot for your help. i know the beeps would annoy some people, i might clean them a little bit in the future.

aah shit honey....

amazing bells or w/e in intro

those are some epic strings

this is totally a battle scene from like warcraft, IF you put faster drums in there

atm this is more like a marching scene

really good shot at the epicness man, hit right on the mark

let me know when this masterpeice is finished

blackattackbitch responds:

I lol'ed at the title of your review.

About the slow drums, you're right. This is supposed to be the march before the battle. I'm getting ready to put the war part on, but I'm stuck as to how I'm gonna blend it in. I'm thinking of putting a drum solo section right where this ends, then bring in the EPICNESS!!!!!!

I hope I can actually finish this one though, if not, this will be the 5th WIP that I abandoned.

Peace!

very nice

i liked this, it kinda just set me into a daydreamy mood

your drums are all good, this is pretty much a straight up classic trance song, it doesnt really change much, but it still has those minor things that keep it interesting

vocals were good, but i dont really think they were needed, idk mabye you were just testin a new mic or somthin

Constructive Critisizm: hmm..i cant really offer any, this song is just very well done, i give 9 because i try to reserve those for really EPIC songs

p.s. would you mind revieing some of my stuff, particularly my new stuff?

vai90 responds:

There were only vocals in the very end, but those weren't mine, that was Lisa Miskovsky's (reversed) voice. I would never record myself for a song, especially not just to test my mic! XD

But thank you very much for the nice review. Good thing you reserve your 10's, many people just tend to throw 'em around without leaving any sort of useful feedback.

By the way: Did you notice there were 4 layers of drums? :D
I personally love the build-up in the beginning.^^

PS: I will review some of your tracks asap.

lol

i made an ambient track and i get yelled at by some douche

you make one and you get top

not fair

good track, nothing really about it, very dark and scary

SantaBro responds:

no I didn't make one ambient track, I made 79 of them (including the ones on this account as well as grillpie.newgrounds.com and sbb.newgrounds.com)

Thus, I am 7900% more qualified to have an ambient song in the tops than you

i think i know what its missing....

offbeat bass, my opinion though

awesome drums

are those in fl as well???, seriously im blown away by the awesomeness of the drums

slayer sux

you should get a guitar vst, if there are anygood ones, cuz i can see you making great guitar tracks

sdfmusic responds:

Yeah man FPC fo' life :)
