i agree

i agree with the one guy saying that they dont really flow together well

they might just be the same patterns and stuff, but when the melodies are changing and stuff, it does seem like it a whole separate song or somthing, idk

i liked the first melody the best

diggin the drums, pretty standard sounding i guess but it was still good, somt of them were nice

anyways peace out

SessileNomad

its good

its all really good, guitar is really nice, even though it has some shrill parts, they still sound pretty good

the vocals arent very understandable when there robotic, i guess thats why you put the lyrics

and when the vocals are normal, idk, there just bad, like the reeverb-ish-ness about them is good and all, i just dont think your a very good singer at all, but w/e the song is stil realyl good

NOOOOOO NOT A FADE OUT ENDING....DAMMIT

fade outs are just dissapointing to me, but still w/e, the song was good

/pointless review

peace out

merlin responds:

This was actually the first song I ever made that had a fade-out in it. I thought I was hot shit at the time, haha. But yeah, it definitely adds to the length of the song. Yeah, I really am a better singer than this song. The vocals were done in the early AM's, in my apartment, where I tried not to wake up my neighbors, so I went with the first, muffled, half whisper take. I think re-doing this song would be a waste of resources, though... Perhaps if I got signed, and the record company wanted this on a cd, then I'd redo it.

i almost

almost got chrono trigger for the PSX, just havnt really gotten around to it since then

lovly ambience, for some reason i do see this as a foresty theme, but more of a winter forest theme

kinda retro sounding horns lol

pretty good overall

oh crap, those drums are bad, idk mabye its just cuz i do too much artificially drums that when "real" drums come in, they always sounds bad

Box-Killa responds:

Hmm Retro? Lol I didn't think of that.

:D Awwww you don't like muh drums? Was it bass drum? or the snare? or the hats? or the whole thing? O well

Just get a rom and play lol on snes

fuck yeah

wow most gabber-esque tracks that i hear are like just the kick and nothing else but it going at like 350 bpm with a bunch of effect fading in and out and shit, very rarly(how the fuck do you spell this?!?!?) do i hear kicks like this with a bunch of amazing ambience and stuff going on

Anyways, im just gona leave and say this was amazing

good luck in the contest

Lashmush responds:

I highly recommend you check out Enzyme Injection aswell as Thunderdome 2005 and forward.

amazing

the beatboxing totally made this amazing

and the synths shortly following the beatbox were just really good

overall, great track

good luck in the amen contest

nubbinownz responds:

Thanks man I really appeciate the support :D

effects and stuff were cool

cool effects it the beggining

not a fan of that offbeat bass

but the main melody doesnt even seem like it follows any sort of scale

good kicks and stuff though, claps and all that were good

nice piano outro for the main riff

lol

1:21 drumm loop lol

author comments says it all, not much to say lol

im not goan recommend and instruments, cuz then itl come one like a crappy dubstep song, i hate dubstep

how long you been using FL

name is amazing

good name man

dude this is really good, the story along with it is perfect, i cant think of anything better

good snare stuff, usually your volume on them is not to great, but there good this time around

whoa holly crap i didnt even realized it looped so perfectly, this is like my 5th time listening now, and its not repetitive, great job with that

i liked the organ, but i wish it had more punch to it, a more dramatic feel, ya know?

other than that, this track was REALLY good

more tracks like this plis

How the hell did you get it to loop so good, most loops i hear have like a 1 second glitch b4 they restart. this was perfect though..

great track man

peace out

blackattackbitch responds:

Well, most MP3s suck for looping anyways, I wasn't really worried about perfecting the loop too much. Personally, I just make sure there's some kind of effect at the beginning to keep people from noticing that it just looped. On a few songs, I used a cymbal roll that began at the end of the song and finished on the other side.

I was actually worried that the end of this track wouldn't sound dramatic enough, and I definitely know that the original has a much more dramatic sound at the finish.

I wish I had a different organ to choose from, but unfortunately that's the best organ sampleset that I have right now.

Thanks for the review, and thanks for the good comments about the drums especially cuz that means I'm finally doing something right hahahaha

And I have to say, it took me a good 20 minutes to finally think of this name :P

Oh and I just remembered, the loop might have been helped by the impulse reverb, which causes a ton of latency. If you notice, the actual beginning of the song starts at the last beat before it's supposed to because of the latency.

ass ussual...

synths sounds weird

and HEY paragon is amazing!!!

oh the guitar-ish synth sounds kinda cool

i think this track would have been better if it went down the DNB path instead

nothin special in my opinion, but its pretty good

Box-Killa responds:

lolz u big meany. oh well ive got 4 weeks to make a better one :D

nice

sidechained on the majoraty of the track, i dont know if you did it on purpose or if the track is pumping, but yeah still sounds goo,d but in a really weird way

kick is kinda weak though

chords and stuff are all very pretty though
