good...again

its, again, simple and pleasent

agh man this really reminds me off old soundgarden, some of their acoustic stuff, youve got the same soft grungey style, i like it

again i think it could use some drums, you know if you wanted i could create drum loops for you to use with stuff like this, if you dont have FL

the only problem i hae is that i dont really feel like its gone anywhere with series as a whole, its pretty much the same style as the other one

this might not seem like much, but you keep tempo very well, i actualy dont hear that alot with recorded tracks on NG, just sayin

peace out

Thanks.
If you want to, you can add some drums, that'd be cool, i've never used FL before, so i have no idea how to do that sorta stuff, thanks alot :)

I see your point, the whole idea of the trilogy(third one in the works) was that i wasn't sure if i wanted the main riff to go slow or fast, so i did both, so they are basicly the same song, and that's kinda the way i wanted it, i view it more as one long song with different sections then seperate songs, but i also understand what you're saying, and i've been thinking of working more on the songs when i re-record them with a new mic, hopefully i'll get some new ideas and stuff, thanks for good input :)

I have to admit that i've been cheating, i used a click track, i've never used it before, and only needed it because there are some points where the guitar pauses, and in order to keep the solo guitars in time, i found click track to be essential, and i'll probably keep using it as it sounded nice and tidy :P

Thanks for vote and good review :)

Namaste.

its good

i wis hyou had a better mic to record with, just because this lacks a bit in quality, but ill cut you come slack

its nice, its relaxing, simple, yet im fairly certain i could not do this on guitar

it needs like a simple drum track, some tambarines, some soft reeverb so it blends in nicely, this is really just my opinion though, its pretty nice as is

im gona go theck out the other two in the series

peace out

Monkeydelic responds:

I'm just on the verge of purchasing a better mic, so hopefully some better quality tracks will be up in the near future.
I've actually thought alot about adding some kinda drum track, but i've never gotten around to it, i decided to wait until i got the new mic, so i don't use alot of time on something that isn't going to sound good anyway.

Thanks for the rating and review :)

Namaste.

nice

dude very nice, i can see how this was inspired by paragonx9

dude i wish more of your songs were like this

it need a new lead to come in, the starting is good, but im just sayin it needs a new element introduced

you need come cymbal action to give it a more "moving" feel, you know what i mean

good sfx all the way through

how did you make those acid sounds? they sound pretty good

i like the action created by the piano, but i think it should be given a rest for a few measures, the constant 16th notes running in a persons face could get old real quick, thats just my though though

with a fat bassline, and more energetic drums, this could end up being quite beasty

really good dude

peace out

SessileNomad

Box-Killa responds:

aww lawl yes it was very much inspired.

Yeah If you take out all the crap songs I make all the time lol....

Oh muh gosh my brain hurts i cant make another lead

:D L33t effects

acid = vanguard on speed

lol NO BREAKS 4 DEH PEANOO

FAT BASE WOOO

hmm maybe could do with some nice hats.

Thanks for the reivew, always many suggestions you haz

Peaceout!

it sounds ike

it sounds like you went thruogh your vec samples and clicked random ones, and then decided to make a song with it, i mean that in a good way

how do you go about making your gabber kicks, there always really good

good use of the amen, you got some pro skills with that beat

how did you make that gus voice change right b4 he said "say somthin?"

its all ok, its not as good as 240, im not reayl a fan of the hoover synth, it just sounds pretty cheesy

as far as eq ing and stuff goes, im going to have to agree with the other guy, the mids seem to be lacking just a little bit in this track

cant really think of anyhing else

peace out

poopr1221 responds:

1: I usually don't make my gabber kicks really. I could if I wanted to, but it's easier for me to use samples. I usually take said samples and alter them a little (IE: Distortion, Ringmod, Filtering etc.)

2: The pitch change before "Susan" was using automation on the mix of a little plugin called ckpitchshifter. It's a GREAT pitch shifting plug with a really unique sound.

3: The hoover's sort of supposed to sound cheesy =P, but since everyone bugs me about it, I guess I'll...I dunno. Do something with it. I still want it in there though. One question though, where should the mids be adjusted? On the drums? On the hoovers/stabs etc.? Respond with a PM for me.

Thanks for the advice.

its ok

the chords do sound jazzy, but somthing about them doesnt sit well with me, they sound a bit robotic(prbobaly cuz they are), ide say if you ever try somthing like this again, try and give more soul to the sax, or record a real one xD

the guitar is ok, it sounds a bit random though, although i think that about alot of jazz

a better mic is def. needed xD

drums are really good though, they sound pretty pro, and fairly real as well, reminds me of the doors

bass is nice, i wish it had more legato with it, and not so much staccato, but it sounds realy good

chris-86 is kind of a douche, blatantly calling somone arrogant w/o givin any examples or explaining at all

its ok but i suggest getting somone who listens to jazz to critique you

peace out

SessileNomad

Box-Killa responds:

Lol yes guitar is very random! Electronic sax is very limiting i must say. You really cant do much without it sounding bad. So i just stuck to the same thing. Even if you just change the velocity of the notes, it ruins the sound. I suppose I could have chucked in another chord progression or change the rythmn. IF I knew any1 that played 4 sax's at once so they could do the chords then yes lol. The sax's are playing chords. You cant play chords with woodwind lol.

But jazz can be a lot about just picking a progressions and then just improv over it, untill your face bleeds.

Should have had a bass solo :D

thanks for the reivew!

its good

that bass lead is boring : /, its like the other guy said, its been done to many times

i do like the ambient effects you got goin, they really do sound alien-y

i love your hat line, its so smooth, flows very well

ugh...i do not like eurogate at all, its just way to standard

its ok, i didnt like it as much as i thought i would, but w/e

SessileNomad

Box-Killa responds:

Yeah in my old song, the bassline was a bit more creative. Was it because it was repeditive or because it was just boring?

Yeah ambient effects are the main thing.

and yes to everything else

thanks for the listen!

cool stuff

nice saw pads you got there, pretty standard with ambient

i agree with the other guy, i feel an ocean when i hear this

ide say use a softer piano, the one you use has alot of stab to it, it kills the ambience to me

god this is such an odd form of ambient, very rarely do i hear saw leads like that, but it does fit

i probly should NOT say this, since i do it to a much more exagerated degree, but the kick drum you use doesnt fit very well, it has too much umph to it, at least i feel that way when i listen, of course i should not be one to talk about that

FUCK...fade out endings...i hate them

i really like it, kinda puts a new twist on ambient

peace out

INoisy responds:

Thanks for the review, man, much appreciated. The piano is a little bit bite-y, and a softer kick would actually probably fit in better, now that I think about it. Constructive criticism's always helpful, thanks very much. ;D

Keep rockin man.

hell yeah

i love this genre

pads are nice, pretty standard sounding, but tried and true

it does get a bit repetitive, ide say have a break with drums for a few measures, mabye introduce some new instruments, somthing like that

i actually do like the bass synth, ussually i think bass kills ambience, but this pulled it off quite nicely

peace out

SessileNomad

MmmCake responds:

word. really helpful review, thanks!! :D

happy

this is really good for your second track, much better than my second

i wish it had some 4 to the floor parts, with the kicks drum, to give it a more dance feel, this hip hop style drums not really suite it as well as i think they could

good with some of the effects though

critisism....add more instruments to change it up, its really repetitive when you only have one lead

your kick is kind of quite, plus it doesnt have much punch to it, but that will be learned in time

pretty good dude

peace out

amazing

amazing rendition of a classic composition by one of thebest composers man has ever known

i love the twist you put on it, def. adds your own style

great job dude, if the AP had more tracks like this, NG would be a much better place

Haggard responds:

"great job dude, if the AP had more tracks like this, NG would be a much better place"

Haha, I'm not so sure about that. I think people would rather listen to something they could actually hear. ^^

But as I've responded to an earlier review, I wanted to see how Users would react to such a submission. Also, I really like 4'33'', the idea behind it. ^^
