See, when I try to write stuff in odd time signatures, it sounds awkward when it switches... but when I just come up with a riff not even thinking about what time signature it's in, it flows nicely. I could never be in Dream Theater, I don't plan stuff... I just do. That and I'm like a baby playing with a toy guitar compared to those guys.
I like that string melody too, in fact, one of the most important aspects to this song, in my view, is the string melodies, as they carry much of the rhythm.

pretto good for the most part, only thing i would say is the snare is a bit quiet, it might work better if it were louder to contrast the bitchin kick

the transition from crazy heavy reverb to synth sounded nice
im not a fan of those orchestra hits...but w/e
