umm

i think your misunderstood as to what ska is

cuz thi sis not it

ragingmullet responds:

Actually to your misunderstanding I know exactly what ska is. Ska originated in Jamaica as a mixture of Jazz, Calypso, and Mento. Though it has changed much. The majority of modern Ska bands can be described simply as punk/rock with horns. Emphasis on offbeats, Ska chords (top three notes of a major chord, I believe), upbeat tempo. Ska has gone through 3 waves. The first wave having performers such as the Skatalits. The second wave of ska (also known as two tone) has bands such as Madness, and the Specials. The third wave (the current official one) has bands such as Reel Big Fish, and Less than Jake. If you listen to the piece I have written it has some very heavy influences from ska and jazz. So don't sit there and tell me I don't know something when I know exactly what it is. The entire point of my ska void series is to take ska and throw a techno mix into it. Notice, I am not claiming this is pure ska but it is absolutely a form of it. So know your information before you start making uneducated comments like that.

dude

awesome job

not much to say, nothing bad to say about it

really great job

keep at it

heartless1298 responds:

Thanks! I will.

ok i have some questions

i just started playing keyboard, and i was just wondering

which program do you use to make the music(i use FL)

which VST's do you use for the strings?

my friend just bought me a synth, can all synths plug into FL and do the same as a midi keyboard

how long have you been playing

this might sound weird, but which composers do you listen to for inspiration, if any???

as for the song, its crazy ungodly and now i see why i was told your the best piano player on NG, great job

PianoFortress responds:

hey ya, thanks alot for the review =D.

for strings I use East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold, Cubase is my sequenzer and I'm playing since 9 years.
I don't have any particular composer I listen to although I think that Nobuo Uematsu ,along with other great videogame-composers, has influenced me a lot.
Every single piece of music I hear is part of my inspiriation.

Thanks again and sorry for the uber late response XD....

very chill

quite relaxing i might say, but it still has this feel of like, running from the cops, from those old ass police academy movies...idk why

ConnieB responds:

heartless1298 responds:

Hey, thanks and all, but remember this is only my first progressive Trance song. More to come, my friend.

DJ-NOSEBLEED responds:

Thanks. Im no master, this took me a good amount of time. Especially the Reese.
And I reaaaaly sucked at DnB once. Just start to experiment, and you'll eventually get it.
And if you still dont believe me that i sucked, listen to this.
